Shark Vx3 Cordless Sweeper Reviews

Wow, I love this! After reading a few Shark cordless sweeper reviews and other Shark sweeper reviews, it was this one that really stood out for me.

The Shark Vx3 reviews I read pointed out many of the features that I was definitely looking for. To be honest, until I started looking around online I hadn’t really considered a cordless sweeper.

A friend of mine used to have one, I’m not sure of the make, but it never really worked that well. The only one I have ever liked was my grandmother’s old fashioned push-along sweeper…that was definitely cordless! I guess at the back of my mind I hadn’t taken the idea of a modern powered, cordless sweeper seriously. It turns out that I had been missing out, big time!

I had been making do for a while, but with a young toddler around I was getting quite frustrated with the constant mess, and getting my big vacuum cleaner out all the time was becoming a hassle.

Seeing some of the online Shark sweeper reviews really got me thinking, especially when they referred me to the Shark cordless sweeper reviews that I read before buying this. The Shark Vx3 reviews listed the features that I knew would be very useful to me.

It is better than a broom for many reasons. For starters, the cordless design that I saw in the Shark sweeper reviews was the best advantage for me.

This Shark cordless sweeper has a rechargeable battery that runs for up to 50 minutes on a single charge. So as long as you can remember to plug it in for a recharge, this is plenty of running time you’ll need.

Secondly, the sweeper provides a patented swivel steering, a low-profile head and the backsaver-folding handle for an effortless cleaning. Together, it gives you the ease and maneuverability of cleaning under the bed, around the furniture and other hard-to-reach places without having to bend over.

I read this in one of the Shark Vx3 reviews and dismissed it as a gimmick, but it is actually a great combination of features; it has certainly saved my back!

Another great feature about this Shark cordless sweeper is that it works well on all floors and surfaces — from tile, vinyl, and hardwood floors to carpeted floors and rugs.

Not to mention the motorized side brush (which works great along walls) and the 13” brush roll. It was so easy and convenient for me to be able to pick up my toddler’s spilled cereal from the carpet and the cat’s litter from the kitchen floor without having to change any equipment.

Just choose one of the two cleaning settings – either Multi-surface to clean carpets and bare floors or Turbo to clean up those tough messes and even pet hair! It is a great shame, however, that this excellent side brush feature is not on both sides of the machine; it would make things just that much easier.

It also has an easy-empty dust cup, where the dust and dirt is collected and is easily cleaned without having to touch the mess.  Finally, it is very lightweight (only 4 lbs.) and quiet which is a bonus for my toddler who hates the sound of our big vacuum cleaner. I must say that I have used it for cleaning at night and didn’t disturb anyone!

The only real issue that was stated about this Shark cordless sweeper which, to be fair I had read in other Shark Vx3 reviews, is that it does not replace your regular vacuum cleaner. Before purchasing, you must keep in mind that this is not a vacuum cleaner. This is a cordless, powered broom. In some Shark sweeper reviews people have said that it can sometimes miss bits.

This may be only if you are expecting it to work as a big vacuum cleaner does. I have not found this to be a problem. I have found that if you move it slowly and purposefully over the area you want to clean then it works perfectly. For me, though, this Shark cordless sweeper does everything I wanted it to and more.

I bought it to deal with the little annoying spills and messes, but I can keep the house looking pretty spotless with it. With just a quick whip around with this Shark cordless sweeper, the house looks clean in a fraction of the time than it does if I have to get the bigger vacuum cleaner out. To be honest, I now use the big vacuum cleaner once a week and this everyday!

All in all, this Shark cordless sweeper is a great machine. It will not replace your vacuum cleaner, because it wasn’t designed to do so. This machine is ultra light, quiet and convenient. It also stores quickly and easily and has a no-mess, no-touch dust cup. Ultimately it gives me the power of a vacuum cleaner with the convenience of a broom. Who could ask for more?
